Cornish Rock Tors Ltd’s latest activity is Ecoasteering. This great new activity has a special emphasis on learning about our amazing rugged coastline and all of its weird and wonderful marine life.

Working with the Polzeath Marine Centre (PVMCA) all of our staff have been trained on all the local species found around our Rocky Shores as well as having a sound knowledge of the local geology and ocean science.

Ecoasteering is a more extreme version of one of your favourite beach activities, rock pooling. Of course there will be the challenge of jumps, climbs and caves along the way to finding some of the weird and wonderful marine life located on our shores. The session will be tailored differently to a normal Coasteering session with more of an emphasis on finding and learning about the marine life and local area and following the seashore code as we go.

Perfect for a family group looking to have the adventure of Coasteering with a more educational approach.

The Ecoasteering is £35 per person and all equipment is included.

Age is subject to the fitting of the appropriate safety equipment, please give us a call if you have any questions.

Within this activity we are hoping to relay some of the important aspects in regards to coastal conservation, clean shores and marine biology. Our Instructors are passionate and geeky when it comes to the sea and we want to pass some of that enthusiasm on.

If you are heading out rock pooling, please remember to follow the seashore code to protect our awesome
marine life.

• Please leave live animals and seaweeds where you find them; only take photos home
• Always put overturned rocks back carefully as you found them
• Take your litter home with you or put it in a bin
• Be careful on the shore at all times; check the tides and keep away from the cliffs
• Walk and climb carefully so you don’t knock animals off or crush shells
• Wear sensible clothing and footwear
