Intermediate Coasteering

Aimed at adventurous, able adults and confident teenagers who have completed the introduction session, Intermediate Coasteering is the perfect activity for those looking for a unique and memorable outside experience.  This activity will provide more physical and mental challenges as we guide you along a stunning stretch of wild coastline, and will be sure to provide some adrenaline fuelled adventure!

You’ll start the session with a jump to enter the water, before spending around two hours exploring an awe-inspiring stretch of sheer cliffs, interspersed with coves and caves. We’ll traverse swell-swept ledges, swim through wave gullies and across open stretches of water and climb up progressively higher ledge systems to launch ourselves off some spectacular jumps along the way.

Cornish Rock Tors’ Intermediate Coasteering session is our most popular and highly acclaimed activity. It provides an exhilarating challenge for all – even seasoned coasteerers.  Our primary venue for intermediate coasteering is Port Gaverne (neighbouring Port Isaac), however we have a number of alternative locations to allow us to make the most of the sea and weather conditions.

Intermediate Coasteering costs £45 per person and includes the use of all necessary equipment, including a warm 5mm wetsuit, thick-soled wetsuit boots, a buoyancy aid and a helmet.  All you need to bring is a towel, swimwear and an old pair of shorts.

Port Gaverne is located seven miles from Polzeath (follow signs to Port Isaac) and participants will need their own means of transport to get to and from the venue.
