Designed especially for first time coasteerers and younger adventurers, every activity on our introductory coasteering route is optional, allowing you to do as much or as little as you are comfortable with. We’ll introduce you to all of the basics and help you get to grips with coasteering in a calm and tranquil setting.
Run in the secluded and sheltered inlet at Port Quin which offers consistently calm conditions, you’ll spend up to two hours in the sea exploring the caves, scrambling over rock platforms, swimming, climbing above deep water and jumping from rock ledges of varying heights (should you choose to do so).
Our introductory coasteering session is popular with families and groups of younger teenagers. Thanks to the sheltered aspect of Port Quin, sessions are rarely affected by adverse weather conditions and it provides a wide range of activity features to explore, whatever the weather.
Introductory Coasteering costs £45 per person and includes the use of all necessary equipment, including a warm 5mm wetsuit, thick-soled wetsuit boots, a buoyancy aid and a helmet. All you need to bring is a towel, swimwear and an old pair of shorts.
Port Quin is located four miles from Polzeath and participants will need their own means of transport to get to and from the venue.
