Sea Kayaking Advanced – North Coast

Aimed at keen sea kayakers who have some prior paddling experience, our Advanced Sea Kayaking trips allow you to adventure further and explore more.  With miles of spectacular coastline on either side of our base at Port Gaverne, we’ll guide you to some special and truly remote locations where you’ll feel a million miles from anywhere.

Advanced Sea Kayaking sessions enjoy more time out on the water, meaning that a greater area of the rugged coastline surrounding Port Gaverne is open for exploration.  We will paddle beneath towering cliffs to otherwise inaccessible beaches and coves whilst sea birds circle overhead, giving you a real sense of escape and adventure.

Cornish Rock Tors’ Advanced Sea Kayaking is only available to customers who have previously completed our standard Sea Kayaking session (and demonstrated the required levels of competence) so that we can plan the right route for your ability.  We use double sit-on-top sea kayaks that are extremely stable and allow you to paddle efficiently either alone or as a pair, so that you can spend your time focused on enjoying the experience.

Advanced Sea Kayaking costs £80 per person and includes the use of all necessary equipment, including a warm wetsuit, thick-soled wetsuit boots, a buoyancy aid and a helmet as well as the sit-on-top kayak and paddle.  All you need to bring is a towel and swimwear.  Participants must be eight years old or over and competent swimmers (i.e. be able to swim 25M in a pool unaided). We ask that under 14s are accompanied by an adult.

Port Gaverne is located seven miles from Polzeath and participants will need their own means of transport to get to and from the venue.
